Burger Blends

SRA Foods has always done burgers a little differently. A famous butcher once said “you can’t hide your sins in the meat grinder.” SRA uses whole muscle cuts of Premium Black Angus beef to craft special burger blends that are unique in flavor and unmatched in quality.

Traditionally, short ribs are for braising, briskets for smoking, skirts and hangers are for the grill. Our burger program sees these cuts as an opportunity to make a legendary burger experience your customers won't soon forget.

When different whole muscle cuts are combined, there is a unique characteristic to that blend that cannot be attained by mixing beef trimmings with other trimmings. In a market full of standard foodservice burgers where wording and price rule, our custom burger blends are a breath of fresh air for those looking for a burger that stands apart in taste and quality.

Our house blends contain chuck rolls which contain the spinalis and longissimus dorsi muscle of ribeyes, shoulder clods which contain the flat iron steak and iconic chuck roasts, and briskets, for the epic fat flavor that cannot be duplicated with lower cost fatty trimmings from all over the world.

Sometimes asking a simple question like, "What is in my burger?," can lead to complicated answers. We will never compromise the integrity of your burgers by using large amounts of cheap meat trimmings or high bacterial beef head meat. Since SRA Foods is one of the last independent meat companies left in our area, we pride ourselves on our exacting food safety standard and traceability to the source of our beef. It is because of these standards we are able to grind fresh, high quality beef on a daily basis. At SRA Foods, we encourage our customers to create their own custom blends and to be able to answer the question, "What's in my burger?".

Our burger program gives our customers special edge in the ever-growing burger industry. The beef is ground at cold temperatures, which prevents it from getting overworked. Our patties, available in any size from 2-10oz or 12oz, are formed by a low pressure machine with a noodle textured fill system. This ensures a loosely packed patty that is juicier and more flavorful than a hand packed patty. One taste of our custom whole muscle blends is all it takes.
